They exchanged information on the security and order situation along the border, shared experience in border management, and agreed on coordination measures to handle any unexpected incidents that might arise.
In addition to the patrol activities, both sides discussed recent violations of border regulations, focusing on illegal border crossings, trafficking of prohibited goods, and smuggling. They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing education and information dissemination to raise border residents’ legal awareness, thus encouraging them to strictly observe border management rules and not support any illegal activities.
At the end of the patrol, the two sides reviewed and assessed the results of the joint operation and exchanged updates on the current border situation. Both sides agreed that the joint patrol had achieved its objectives effectively, and they reached consensus on future cooperation measures. They also agreed to maintain regular information exchange through correspondence and a hotline system to promptly address arising issues, enhance joint patrols, and strengthen efforts against illegal crossings, human trafficking, smuggling, and other criminal acts. These efforts aim to ensure border security and order, contributing to the reduction of legal violations along the Vietnam–China border.
