Various activities held within Vietnam - Lao Young Border Officers Exchange Program
PANO - A series of activities took place on July 3 in Kim Bang commune, Nghe An province, as part of the Vietnam - Laos Young Border Officers Exchange Program in 2026, contributing to reinforcing solidarity and friendship between the two countries' border protection forces and young military officers.

The day's activities began with a tree-planting ceremony and the establishment of a Youth Friendship Flower Garden at Border Marker 460, symbolizing the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos. Participants then took part in a vibrant cross-border run event, starting at Thanh Thuy Border Gate in Nghe An province, running through Nam On Border Gate in Laos, and returning to the starting point to complete the course. The program also featured a friendly volleyball match between young officers of the Vietnam Border Guard and the Lao border protection force.

The Vietnam - Laos Young Border Officers Exchange Program is a key event within the framework of the 3rd Vietnam - Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange. Through these activities, young officers from both countries have the opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and exchange experience in unit development, border management and protection, and the prevention and suppression of trans-national crime. The program also helps foster the long-standing tradition of Vietnam - Laos special solidarity while encouraging younger generations to uphold and further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, the two states, the two militaries, and the people of both nations.
