This year, Vietnam will host “Emergency Area” and “Sniper Frontier” events of the Army Games 2021 for the first time.
According to the Russian general, he talked with representatives of the Russian contingents competing in events in Vietnam and learnt that the Vietnam People’s Army made thorough preparation for the competitions. He also read reports and saw pictures about the preparation. “How wonderful it is!” he said, adding his pity that he could not attend the Vietnam-hosted events though he really wished to.
General Peryazev greatly welcomed the larger-scale participation of the Vietnam People’s Army in the Army Games 2021 with more competing events. He thanked the Vietnamese military for creating good conditions for the Russian contingents in Vietnam despite difficulties.
Stressing the significance of the bilateral defense cooperation, the Russian general expressed his delight that the two countries would strengthen the ties in more fields.
Acknowledging that the Vietnam People’s Army has sent troops to compete in the Army Games for the fourth consecutive times, the Russian official praised the combat spirit, high sense of discipline and determination to win of the Vietnamese officers, soldiers, and other forces.
He also said that Russia and Vietnam are among countries in the world with strongest militaries. He wished both Vietnamese contingents and their Russian peers a success.
