During its stay in Cambodia, the mission, led by Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Nam, Deputy-Director of the Academy offered incense to fallen soldiers and laid a wreath at the Monument dedicated to Vietnamese volunteer troops and visited Vietnamese Consulate in Preah Sihanouk.
The Sailing Ship’s visit to Cambodia aims to give the participants a chance to join a field training exercise during which they could apply what they have studied at the Academy in completing the missions at sea. It also targets to strengthen the friendship between the two navies in particular and the two militaries in general.
Over the past years, the Academy has made active contributions to boosting the cooperation between the two navies through training courses opened in Vietnam for Cambodian naval troops, tasking its cadres to support the Cambodian Navy in building training programs at the Cambodian Naval Training School.
Regarding the cooperation between the two navies, Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Nam believed that it will further develop in an intensive manner via realization of agreed plans and contents with the aim of reinforcing the two militaries’ friendship and contributing to peace and stability in the region.
During the visit to Cambodia, which will end on April 28, the Vietnamese mission will have sports exchanges with Cambodian naval troops.
