Since 2001, Team K73 of the Long An provincial Military Command has collected 1,933 sets of martyrs’ remains and found five mass graves (about 230 sets of martyrs’ remains) in Svay Rieng province. This result has contributed to affirming the close coordination between Steering Committee 515 and the specialized committee of Long An province and Svay Rieng province.

The Governor of Svay Rieng province expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese military personnel and people who had sacrificed themselves for the cause of Cambodian national liberation, adding that the province would promote information dissemination about fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors over the period.

An overview of the event

Long An’s Steering Committee 515 extended greetings to the governor, officials, workers and people of Svay Rieng province on the occasion of their traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival, wishing that the good relationship between the two provinces would be further cultivated in the coming time.

Earlier, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the memorial site dedicated to fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Svay Rieng province and the monument in commemoration of hero Nguyen Van Ngo.
