According to the information provided by the L2FH Rotation 6, the emergency team received a patient with chest pain and rapid pulse. Medical staff promptly gave first aid to the patient and stabilized the patient's heart rate within safe limits.

Meanwhile, the hospital held a consultation the same night to provide timely diagnosis and treatment for the patient. All information about the patient's health status and treatment results were reported to the UNMISS’s health management agency.

Due to the lack of facilities, the exact cause of the disease could not be found. Therefore, the patient was assigned to be transported by air to the Indian upper-level hospital in Juba capital (South Sudan).

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Anh Duc, Director of the L2FH Rotation 6, it was an opportunity for the hospital to familiarize with complex procedures in the process of aeromedical evacuation. With high determination and expertise of the hospital's Aeromedical Evacuation Team (AMET), the patient was taken safely to the Indian hospital in Juba.

Earlier, on October 8, Brigadier General William Ryarasa, Commander of Sector Unity and the UNMISS’s working mission visited and inspected the operations of the L2FH Rotation 6. He also expressed his belief in the capacity of Vietnam's L2FHs over the past years and was confident that the L2FH Rotation 6 would successfully complete its duties.
