Korean Coast Guard vessel docks at Tien Sa Port
PANO - The training vessel Badaro (3011 HAM) from the Coast Guard of the Republic of Korea (RoK) with 189 officers and sailors on board docked at Tien Sa Port of the Central city of Da Nang on September 4, starting its friendly visit to the city.

A solemn reception for the vessel, which is captained by Lieutenant Colonel Kim Dong Jin, Head of the Department of Human Resources Development under the Korean Coast Guard Academy, was held at the port.
Present at the ceremony were representatives from the Commands of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Coast Guard Region 2, the Da Nang City Border Guard, the municipal Military Command, the Department of External Affairs of Da Nang and Police Attaché of the RoK in Vietnam.
During the four-day visit to the city, the Korean guests will pay a courtesy call to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee and the Coast Guard Region 2 Command.

The host and guest will also exchange experiences in search and rescue (SAR) and conduct a joint exercise on SAR at sea.
The visit is aimed at bolstering the cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies.
On the occasion, the host also suggests the expansion of their cooperative ties and experience sharing in fields of SAR, navigation security and safety and other fields based on each side’s capabilities with the engagement of localities in Central Vietnam.
