Japanese military delegation visits Vietnamese naval unit
PANO – A delegation of the Japanese Defense Ministry, led by its Deputy Defense Minister Nishida Yasunori, visited the Cam Ranh International Port and Naval Region 4 Command in Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province.
At the reception, Naval Captain Pham Van Hoat, Deputy Commander of the naval region, highlighted the sound relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples and militaries, particularly cooperation between the two naval forces, of the two countries.
He underlined that the bilateral naval cooperation has been increasingly expanded, contributing to building up their solidarity and friendship for the sake of peace, stability, security, and development in the region.
Hoat took this occasion to thank the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) for inviting frigate 015 - Tran Hung Dao of Naval Region 4 to visit Japan and take part in celebration activities on the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties in October 2018.

For his part, Deputy Minister Yasunori expressed his hope to see more programs to expand the cooperation and relations between the two naval forces.
After the meeting, the Japanese guests toured frigate 012-Ly Thai To of Brigade 162 of Naval Region 4.
