Minh said that Japanese cultural, tourism, and language activities are quite popular among the city's students, and Japanese cuisine is highly favored by both residents and tourists.
He expressed his hope that, in addition to the planned visit, the Japanese officers and crew will have time to explore and learn about the landscapes and cultural life of the coastal city.
For his part, Tatsuhito expressed his delight at visiting Da Nang, particularly as the city has just celebrated the 50th anniversary of its liberation.
He noted that it had been three years since a training ship last visited Da Nang. This stop is the first on the ship's training voyage this time. He mentioned that the exchanges and cooperation between Japan and Vietnam have been developing well, and the friendship visits between the ships of the two countries have further strengthened their good relations.
The ship docked at Tien Sa Port on March 31 morning, beginning its four-day visit to the central city. During the visit, 230-member delegation plan to pay courtesy visits on the Da Nang People’s Committee and Naval Region 3 Command. They will also engage in joint training exercises with Vietnam’s Naval Region 3 Command and visit historical cultural sites in the city.
