On behalf of the Defense Ministry and the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee on the Settlement of Post-war Unexploded Ordnance and Toxic Chemical Consequences, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien expressed deep gratitude to the Japanese government and people for their practical support. He emphasized that this assistance not only shows a strong cooperative relationship between the two countries but also a valuable contribution to environmental protection and post-war remediation efforts in Vietnam.
Through this project, Japan will provide Vietnam with advanced technologies, including vegetation-cutting equipment and mine detection devices. In addition, Japan will train and transfer technology to VNMAC’s equipment management and operation teams, instructing them on standards and procedures for mine clearance to improve efficiency, reduce manual labor, and ensure safety. The project will also feature field trials using newly acquired equipment from Japan.
