During the visit from November 21 to 25, the commanding officers of Task Group 989 will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and the Naval Region 4 Command; tour training facilities; and participate in sports exchanges with officers and cadets of the Naval Academy of Vietnam. The program also includes cultural tours and reciprocal ship visits, receptions, and protocol activities between the two navies.

The visit coincides with the conclusion of the Year of China-Vietnam Humanistic Exchange 2025 and the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, marked by numerous important external affairs activities.

The visit aims to concretize the common understandings reached between the leaders of the Central Military Commissions and Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and China on enhancing reciprocal naval ship visits; strengthening political trust; and promoting exchanges and interactions between the two navies, thereby contributing to more substantive defense cooperation between the two countries.
