A view of the talks

Over the past quarter, the border management forces of both countries worked closely together to conduct inspection and control activities at Vietnam’s Bach Dich and China’s Yangwan border crossings. Their efforts contributed to ensuring smooth, lawful, and secure cross-border movement, maintaining order and safety in the border area while effectively preventing illegal entry and exit activities on both sides.

The two sides also maintained regular communications through phone exchanges and in-person meetings to share information related to border management and protection. They conducted joint patrols, both scheduled and ad hoc, while organizing joint legal awareness campaigns for residents living along the shared borderline.

Building on the achievements of the third quarter, the two sides agreed on the work orientation for the fourth quarter of 2025, emphasizing continued strengthening of forces and close coordination in border management and protection. They committed themselves to effectively preventing cross-border crimes, particularly illegal entry and exit, smuggling, and unlawful transport of goods across the border.

At the end of the talks, in the spirit of solidarity, friendship, cooperation, and mutual development, the border management forces of both sides agreed to continue organizing joint communication and legal education activities for border residents, using various formats and languages, such as Vietnamese, Chinese, and local dialects, with concise, easy-to-understand content to help residents remember and comply with border regulations.
