Chief of Philippine Army impressed with Vietnamese commandos
PANO - On April 9, Chief of Philippine Army Lieutenant General Roy Mabagos Galido visited Commando Officer Candidate School and Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (VHT) under the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel).
At the school, the Philippine general expressed his impression on Vietnamese commandos’ demonstration of their skills. While at the VHT, he highly praised military and civilian products produced by Viettel.

The visits were in the framework of the visit of the Chief of the Philippine Army to Vietnam. The Vietnam visit contributed to accelerating the cooperation between the two armies in particular, and the bilateral defense ties between Vietnam and the Philippines in general in an intensive and practical manner.
Earlier, on April 8, Lieutenant General Roy Mabagos Galido paid a courtesy call on General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, and held talks with Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Nghia.
