Sr. Col. Le Xuan Binh (right) chairs the reception for the Cambodian delegation.

Sr. Col. Binh briefed the guests upon the geological position, politico-socio-economic, defense and security situation of the region. He also talked about the exchange and twinning activities between the region and Cambodian military units.

The Vietnamese official laid stress on the time-honored solidarity and friendship between the two sides and hoped that the Cambodian delegation’s trip this time would help boost mutual understanding between the two militaries’ young leaders and strengthen the good traditions between the two militaries in general and between MR7’s armed forces and units under the Royal Cambodian armed forces in particular.

On behalf of the guests, Maj. Gen. Ngethsovann Arundeth, Deputy Chief of Staff of Army of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces expressed deep thanks to Vietnam for its great support for Cambodia over the past time. He believed that this exchange would serve as an opportunity for Cambodian officers to gain more experience and have more friends.

He hoped that the MR7 Command would create conditions for young military cadres of Cambodia to exchange and learn more about Vietnam, its people, and MR7’s armed forces, thus promoting solidarity, close-knit ties, and traditional friendship between the two parties, states, and militaries.
