They also effectively fought against different kinds of crimes, violations in border areas and pro-actively mobilized local people living on both sides of the borderline to observe the above three legal documents. In addition, they jointly handled border-related cases on the basis of each country’s laws in a reasonable, logical, civilized, and effective manner.
Discussing their future cooperation orientations, the two sides agreed to actively organize friendship exchanges diverse in forms and rich in contents, especially during important festivals of the two countries, thereby promoting the friendship, solidarity, mutual understanding, and deepening the two nations’ fruitful time-honored cooperation.
They will enhance the fight against crimes, drug, human, and arms trafficking, illegal cross-border entry and exit, and terrorism.
Together with gradually reforming administrative procedures in entry and exit management, the two sides were unanimous in speeding up the application of scientific and technological advancements to task performance, launch automatic control system at Thanh Thuy and Tianbao international border gates to facilitate travel via the border gates.
They will create favorable conditions for people to visit their relatives in the other side of the borderline, exchange goods and conduct import-export activities. Information exchange, joint management and protection of border will be strengthened as well to help build a borderline of peace, friendship, stability, and development.
