Army Games 2021: Vietnamese contingents get used to training grounds
PANO - Having completed quarantine periods and been tested negative to SARS-CoV-2, Vietnamese contingents participating in the Army Games 2021 started getting used to training grounds and conducted training sessions in preparation for the upcoming competitions.
* At Alabino training ground in the outskirts of Moscow, members of the Vietnamese Meridian Contingent taking part in the “Meridian” event of the Army Games 2021 are studying lot-drawing regulations in preparation for the official lot-drawing ceremony on August 16. The team also conducted two training sessions for the “Topographic Quadrathlon” content, one of the three stages in the “Meridian” contest.

* At Salut Hotel in Moscow, the Vietnamese Signal Contingent participating in the “Confident Reception” contest organized a sports festival with the aim to enhance the morale of the members and raise their determination to achieve the best results at the upcoming event.
* Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Engineering Contingent arrived at Tyumen training ground in southwest Russia on August 13. Senior Colonel Pham Huu Tuan, head of the contingent, started preparing the team for training sessions.
* On August 13, the Vietnamese Chemical Contingent completed its quarantine period as requested by the host country at Korla training ground in Xinjiang (China). During the quarantine time, the Vietnamese team strictly observed COVID-19 prevention and control regulations of Vietnam and the host country.
Earlier on August 12, the organizers provided three radiation reconnaissance devices, three chemical reconnaissance devices, and other equipment and guidance documents for the team to practice for the “Safe Environment” contest.
* At Forish training ground in Uzbekistan, all members of the Vietnamese Field Kitchen and Military Medical contingents have gone through COVID-19 tests and started their three-day quarantine period as requested by the host country.
* On August 13, Vietnamese dogs and handlers of the Service Dog Handler Contingent continued getting used to harsh weather conditions in Algeria.
