PANO - The Joint Committee of Vietnam and Wallonie-Bruxelles (Belgium) agreed to carry out 18 projects with funds of more than € 2 million within the authority of Wallonie-Bruxelles, the French-speaking community in Belgium for the 2016-2018 period.

The agreement was reached at the committee’s 9th session on November 19th in Hanoi.

During the session, the two sides reviewed their cooperation projects implemented in the 2013-2015 period. Accordingly, the Wallonie-Bruxelles authorities granted 100 scholarships to Vietnamese students and graduates to study in Belgium and organized working visits to Vietnam for 200 Belgian experts.

In the 2016-2018 period, the two sides plan to prioritise their cooperation in the areas of social affairs, people and culture. The cooperation will also focus on tertiary education, research and industry development.
