Maysa is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the National Economics University.
The MND’s booth was one of the exhibition’s most highlights. It was divided into indoor and outdoor spaces, harmoniously combining historical values with modern technology. Hundreds of exhibits were on display, including historical artifacts, replicas, restored items, photographs, weapons and equipment, as well as logistics and technical products such as uniforms, specialized military rations, transport vessels, supplies, and military medical equipment.
“Like stepping into world of high technology”
It was the first time Maysa had visited such a modern military exhibition, and she could barely contain her amazement and excitement. “The booth of the MND is truly impressive! Walking in, I felt as though I had stepped into a high-tech world filled with advanced weapons and equipment I had never seen before,” Maysa shared.

The indoor space recreated milestones of the Vietnam People’s Army through various stages of history, from years of resistance to the ongoing modernization of national defense.
Beyond taking photos with the model of a Truong Sa sovereignty marker, admiring scale models of ships, UAVs, and dual-use military products, Maysa enjoyed many interactive experiences, such as the VR simulation of the Truong Sơn – Ho Chi Minh Trail, sea wave mapping displays, and the virtual shooting range developed by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel).

To Maysa, Vietnam demonstrates its strength not only through its glorious history but also with its advanced technological achievements, enough to showcase the remarkable progress and spirit of self-reliance of Vietnam’s defense sector.
“Vietnam is developing strongly in defense, from equipment, military infrastructure, and technology to the production of defense products. I am truly impressed by what Vietnam has achieved!” she said with admiration.
Proud, even as foreigner
Although she is Lao, Maysa said she felt a sense of pride when witnessing the modernity and self-reliance of Vietnam’s defense industry.

Maysa at the interactive exhibition area |
“I am very happy to see modern weapons and technical equipment that Vietnam has researched, developed, and improved displayed here. I am especially impressed with Viettel’s products, particularly UAVs. For the Lao people, I believe this is an occasion to feel proud of our Vietnamese brothers and sisters. I am confident that Vietnam will continue to introduce even more modern and impressive weapons, equipment, and technologies,” Maysa said.
In addition to seeing Vietnam’s modern defense equipment, Maysa said she could clearly feel the spirit of “Independence – Freedom – Happiness” reflected in every exhibition area. To her, these values were not just slogans but embodied in concrete actions, in the very defense technologies and products developed by Vietnam itself. They are symbols of national pride and the result of relentless efforts to protect and preserve peace.
