Chilean ambassador receives friendship insignia
PANO - President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga presented the insignia “For peace and friendship among nations” to Chilean ambassador to Vietnam Jaime Chomali in a ceremony on December 16 in Hanoi.

The insignia was in recognition of the Chilean diplomat’s great contributions to consolidating and enhancing the relationship between the two countries.
In her speech, Nga emphasized that during his tenure, Ambassador Jaime Chomali actively boosted the partnership between Vietnam and Chile in various fields, from politics, diplomacy to trade, economy, culture, people-to-people exchange.
The Chilean diplomat also helped raise ties and high-level exchanges between the two countries.
The VUFO President believed that, in his future posts, the Chilean diplomat will continue making contributions to developing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
For his part, Ambassador Jaime Chomali held that since he arrived in Vietnam, he has felt the sincere affections that the Vietnamese people have for Chile and its people.
He added that next year, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties. Therefore, he hoped that the partnership between Chile and Vietnam in general, and the VUFO and Chilean Embassy in particular will further develop in the time ahead.
