Vietnam works to improve business climate: PM
Vietnam is improving its business climate to attract foreign investors, including those from Japan, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He made the remark when receiving
Sonoura Kentaro, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, in Hanoi on December 11.
He said Vietnam considers the success of
Japanese enterprises in the country as its own.
Highlighting the Vietnam - Japan strategic partnership based
on mutual trust, the PM lauded smooth cooperation between the two countries’
state agencies and sectors in implementing agreements sealed by their
high-ranking leaders.
He expected to boost the ties to new
heights for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific.
He also lauded Japan’s efforts in promoting the
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) deal, which is now renamed as the Comprehensive
and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
For his part, Sonoura Kentaro
congratulated Vietnam on
successfully hosting the APEC Year 2017 and conveyed Japanese PM Shinzo Abe’s
thank-you message for the warm welcome he received while in Vietnam for the APEC Economic
Leaders’ Meeting.
Sonoura underscored 2017 as a
historic year in Vietnam - Japan ties,
with a series of visits by both sides’ high-ranking leaders taking place.
Japan wants to stimulate friendship and
collaboration with Vietnam
in all fields, he stated.
