Vietnam, DPRK boost bilateral friendship
PANO - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh welcomed a delegation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)-Vietnam Friendship Association, led by its Vice Chairman Ri Cang Juk in Hanoi on March 26.
At the reception, Thinh expressed her belief that under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) led by Chairman Kim Jong Un, the DPRK people will gain more successes in the cause of socialism building and national development, thus improving people’s living standards.

2019 is an especially important year to the two countries’ people, marked by an official friendly visit to Vietnam by Chairman Kim in early March. This year will also lay the foundations for both nations to hold major activities in 2020, especially on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The host also underlined the Vietnamese Party’s, Government’s, and people’s support for the cause of socialism building and national reunification in the DPRK, as well as Vietnam’s consistent stance on supporting peace, stability, and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
For his part, Ri hoped that the two countries’ friendship organizations would continue their diverse and practical activities to make contributions to effectively strengthening the friendship and between the two peoples.
