Vietnam, China to boost effective cooperation
PANO - Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan talked on the phone with head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s Central Committee Song Tao on July 29.
Over the past time, the relations between the two parties have been maintained with positive development momentum, said Quan. Amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two sides have implemented a series of flexible and creative measures to consolidate and promote their bilateral relations.

However, there still exist challenges that face the relations between the two countries, especially the complicated developments at sea recently. Therefore, the two sides should strictly observe common perceptions reached by their Party leaders and address disputes by peaceful means on the basis of respect for international law.
For his part, the Chinese official expressed his thanks to the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for assisting the country in addressing consequences caused by the recent floods. Meanwhile, he highly appreciated the great success of Vietnam in COVID-19 prevention and control while maintaining socio-economic stability.
He also affirmed the Chinese Party, Government and people always attach much importance to the traditional relationship of neighborliness and friendship as well as the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam. He hopes to continue promoting exchanges and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, the two sides agreed that due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, several exchanges between the two parties could not be held as scheduled. Therefore, flexible forms of exchanges have been applied such as phone talks to implement cooperation activities in the current context, contributing to deepening the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
During the phone talk, the two sides affirmed to promote cooperation and join hands with the international community to push back the COVID-19 pandemic, maintain peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
