Vietnam and India to promote people-to-people diplomacy
PANO – On September 5, in Hanoi, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Bui Khac Son received a delegation of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF), led by its Secretary General K. Subramanian.
At the reception, Son affirmed that VUFO has always attached importance to the solidarity and cooperation between Vietnam and India. Over the past time, VUFO in general and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association in particular have actively expanded solidarity and cooperation activities with India.

He also committed to continuing to coordinate with ISCUF in people-to-people exchanges, making contribution to boosting solidarity and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
For his part, ISCUF Secretary General K. Subramanian said the Indian people has supported the Vietnamese people in their struggle for independence and freedom in the past and in the country’s national construction cause at present. He also hoped that ISCUF delegation’s visit to Vietnam would further enhance cultural and friendship exchanges between Vietnamese and Indian people and bring more opportunities for cooperation.
