Vietnam and India boost cooperative ties
PANO - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, on June 13, received the President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee in India’s West Bengal, Mr. Geetesh Sharma in Hanoi.
During the reception, the National Assembly Chairwoman thanked President Geetesh Sharma and members of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee in West Bengal for their efforts in boosting the friendship between people of the two countries as well as the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

The NA leader also highly valued achievements of President Geetesh Sharma over the past 50 years through his stories, translated publications and books on Vietnam and on President Ho Chi Minh, as well as his initiatives to translate and publish two Vietnamese poem collections in Hindi and Bengali languages.
Accordingly, she hoped that in the framework of the friendship visit to Vietnam, President Geetesh Sharma would have more valuable experiences for his works and seek measures to enhance the cooperation between the committee and relevant Vietnamese agencies.
For his part, President Geetesh Sharma expressed his pleasure to visit Vietnam and revealed that has gone half way in writing a book about the admiration for the nation and people of Vietnam. He hoped that the visit would help him finish the book in November, contributing to bolstering mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Indian people and the bilateral cooperation as well.
