At the talks, the two leaders informed each other about the recent situation in each country, exchanged directions and measures to strengthen the Vietnam - Venezuela comprehensive partnership, and discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Welcoming the Venezuelan leader, Xuan highly appreciated her visit to Vietnam which coincided with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 18, 1989 - 2024).
She affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership with Venezuela, and wants to further develop the bilateral relationship more practically, in line with the potential, strengths and needs of both sides.
Xuan suggested the two sides increase meetings and exchange of delegations at all levels, through the Party, State, National Assembly, locality and people-to-people exchange channels; maintain and promote the effectiveness of established cooperation mechanisms; and create favorable conditions for the business communities to strengthen connections, promote trade, and foster investment opportunities.
For her part, Rodriguez Gomez expressed her pleasure to re-visit Vietnam after a trip in 2015. She expressed her admiration for the history of the struggle for national liberation of Vietnam, congratulated Vietnam on its renewal achievements, especially its impressive economic growth which is considered Vietnam’s contribution to the world, and a model for Venezuela to refer to.
Rodriguez Gomez affirmed that the Venezuelan Government always attaches importance to and prioritizes strengthening relations with Vietnam, and wishes to accompany and cooperate with Vietnam for mutual development.
Both host and guest expressed their satisfaction with the positive development in the bilateral relations in recent times, notably the results of the recent bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and President Nicolas Maduro on October 24, 2024, the visit to Venezuela by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang in April 2024, and the visit to Vietnam by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto in June 2024.
The two leaders agreed on a number of measures to further deepen the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in the coming time in the fields of politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, agriculture, energy, culture and people-to-people exchange; and concretize cooperation opportunities in potential areas such as telecommunications and construction.
The two sides agreed to soon organize the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee and the 10th deputy foreign minister-level political consultation; coordinate to review and promote negotiations on cooperation agreements, create a legal framework for multifaceted cooperation; maintain coordination and support each other at international organizations and multilateral forums.
Discussing international and regional issues of mutual concern, the two leaders agreed that international disagreements and disputes should be resolved by peaceful means on the basis of international law and the United Nations Charter.
When in Hanoi, Rodriguez Gomez paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and laid wreaths at his mausoleum, and visited Uncle Ho's stilt house, historical sites and cultural establishments. Members of the Venezuelan delegation also had working meetings with Vietnamese partners.
