Russian Communist Party values ties with Communist Party of Vietnam
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) has always treasured and wants to expand its relationship with the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), stated a Russian official.
Leonid Kalashnikov, member of the KRPF’s Presidium, Secretary of its Central Committee, head of the Committee on Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, and President of the State of Duma’s Friendship Parliamentarian Group with Vietnam, made the statement to his host Hoang Binh Quan, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, during his reception in Hanoi on April 22.
At the meeting, the two sides informed each other on their parties’ current affairs. They agreed that plans for future cooperation between the two parties will revolve around the organization of the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam to mark the 25th anniversary of the signing of the treaty on the fundamental principles of the Vietnam-Russia friendship and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2020.
Kalashinikov said the KPRF wants to work with the CPV to support Vietnamese and Russian businesses and localities in engaging in projects in investment, finance, banking, and tourism.
Quan affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State have prioritized boosting the nation’s traditional friendship and strategic comprehensive partnership with Russia and value its close relations with the KPRF.
He praised the KPRF’s ideas on cooperation in contribution to the growth of Vietnam-Russia ties in economy, trade, and investment.
