They are on an official visit to Vietnam from March 19-25.

The president and his spouse took a tour around greenhouses of the 78-hectare VinEco Tam Dao project in Gia Khanh town, Binh Xuyen district where they were given a brief overview of how sprouts and vegetables are grown, harvested and packed.

The project started operation in July 2015 and its first batch of fresh vegetable were sold three months after.

Commercial farm VinEco Tam Dao supplies about 10 tons of fresh produce in different types daily that include sprouts, herbs, vegetables and fruits.

The 5.5-hectare greenhouse area applies high technology by Israel-based Teshuva Agricultural Projects (TAP), the world’s leading provider of advanced solutions for growing microgreens as well as hydroponic growing techniques.

It is the first project of the TAP in Vietnam.

VinEco Tam Dao is building four more glasshouses for farming using soilless cultivation in line with plastic houses and net houses.
