As Vietnam gears up for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2), Hazan extended congratulations to the CPV, the Vietnamese State and people and affirmed the Vietnamese revolution’s role as a beacon for progressive movements worldwide.

Vietnam’s history has shown that even a small nation can defeat imperialism, win over occupation and oppression, and defend its right to self-determination, she said, calling it an invaluable lesson for global struggles for justice, freedom, and national independence.
Commenting on the potential of cooperation between the two parties, she opened up the possibility of learning from the CPV in long-term strategic planning, thus placing the interests of citizens above, and remaining steadfast in socialism building goal. This, she added, could unlock broad prospects and mutual support in the shared struggles for peace, justice, and sustainable development.
Extending a message to Vietnam on this anniversary, she hailed Vietnam as a success, adding that the CPI believes in the CPV’s growing stature on the world stage.
Vietnam, under the leadership of the CPV, will continue making positive contributions to the cause of national liberation, independent economic development, and lasting peace for developing nations, she added.
