HCM City, Busan establish cooperative ties
The People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City and its counterpart of Busan city in the Republic of Korea (RoK) have signed an agreement on establishing friendship and cooperative ties towards further contributing to the relations between the two cities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on January 11, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council highlighted the strong development of the practical cooperation between the city and RoK localities in the context of a blossoming Vietnam-RoK Strategic Partnership.
She hoped that the agreement will open a new chapter, making it easy for the two sides to strengthen cooperative activities and tighten their friendship, thus bringing prosperity to the cities.
Baek Jong Heon, Chairman of the Busan Metropolitan Council, noted that there are many opportunities for partnership in many fields between Busan and HCM City.
He believed the establishment of friendship and cooperative ties between the two councils will contribute to enhancing the relations between the two cities in the coming time.
The Busan Metropolitan Council will do its utmost to expand cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between the two authorities, he added.
Under the agreement, the two agencies will organise activities to share experience and promoting cooperation and exchange in the fields of administrative management, economy, tourism, fishery and environmental protection.
