The proposals and requests of voters are reported to the municipal People’s Council through meetings with voters and various groups, whereby the municipal authorities conduct programs, issue plans, and make regular, relevant inspections.

The Shanghai delegation was interested in the works undergone to try and attract talents to the city.

Head of the social and cultural department of the Hanoi People’s Council Tran The Cuong said that aside from building a sustainable city and improving the living, studying, and working conditions, Hanoi has developed high-quality human resources through training talents and attracting those from various localities to work in Hanoi.

According to Cuong, Hanoi has also implemented programs to encourage and nurture talents, such as honoring students who have achieved top results in university and college graduate exams around Hanoi and recruiting them to work in the city’s agencies; organizing training courses for personnel working in the city’s agencies; and inviting experts to help Hanoi develop high-tech centers and smart cities.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi people’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan affirmed that attracting talents and promoting the role of the People’s Council deputies is one of the top priorities for building a modern and sustainable city, stressing that Hanoi has always attached great importance to cooperating and learning from the experiences of other cities around the world, including Shanghai.
