Sharing the view that Vietnam–China relations have seen very positive and comprehensive progress in recent times, the two foreign ministers agreed that the diplomatic agencies of both countries should closely follow the common perceptions reached by their senior leaders, continue strengthening coordination, and effectively implement measures to deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

They also emphasized the need to promote the building of a Vietnam–China community with a shared future of strategic significance in line with the orientation of “six mores,” while carefully preparing for high-level exchanges and contacts at all levels. At the same time, the two sides should work together with ministries, sectors, and localities to create new breakthroughs in practical cooperation and elevate relations between the two Parties and countries to a new height.
Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that the two sides further enhance the quality and effectiveness of substantive cooperation across various fields, promote balanced and sustainable trade, and expand imports, especially Vietnamese agricultural products. He also suggested accelerating strategic connectivity, increasing investment, promoting technology transfer in industrial cooperation, strengthening coordination to ensure energy security, and increasing the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students.
In addition, Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that the two countries further encourage practical cooperation between localities, expand tourism cooperation, and strengthen cultural exchanges.

For his part, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that China is ready to work closely with Vietnam to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by senior leaders. He suggested that both sides further promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation. China is also ready to encourage capable major enterprises to expand investment in Vietnam, provide more bilateral and multilateral scholarships for Vietnamese students, and further enhance cultural, educational, and tourism exchanges.
During the meeting, the two sides also held frank and sincere discussions on maritime issues and other international and regional matters of mutual concern.
