Czech Republic mulls over easier visa for Vietnamese citizens
PANO - The Czech Republic is considering easing the visa application procedures for Vietnamese nationals to the country for work and business purposes, said Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lukas Kaucky at a political consultation with Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son in Hanoi on March 14.
The meeting was to discuss bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
During the meeting, the two officials agreed to collaborate in conducting activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950-2020).

Towards stronger economic ties, Vietnam called on the Czech Republic to help the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) be approved by the EU parliament.
They agreed upon the need to take measures to offer the best conditions for businesses of the two countries to augment cooperation and study each other’s market and cooperation potential, especially on infrastructure construction, agriculture, food processing, renewable energy, defense industry, and tourism.
Deputy Minister Son thanked the Czech Government for supporting the Vietnamese community living and working legally in the host country and promoting their role in developing the friendship between the two nations.
The two officials also agreed to augment coordination and support in international issues of common concern and emphasized their commitments to backing the settlement of dispute in the East Sea (South China Sea) through peaceful means and in line with international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 (UNCLOS 1982), thereby ensuring security and safety of navigation and aviation in the region.
