11 bakers and 11 staff of An Lac Big C supermarket in Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City yesterday created the world’s longest baguette bread, witnessed by thousands of local people and representatives from Guinness World Records and Guinness Vietnam.
This 111m-long bread was made of 111kg of flour, 1.1kg of fresh yeast, 1.6kg of salt and 66kg of water. Weighing 142kg, the baguette bread was baked on the 111m long brick stove in 7 minutes instead of the planned 15 minutes, due to the hot weather.
Alex Iskandar Liew, a representative from the Guinness World Records, handed the certificate to the bread-making team.
The making of this bread, as said, is to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Big C and 111 years of the Casino Group.
