To resolve the scarcity of energy, France and developing countries such as Vietnam need to diversify and develop all sources of energy, including nuclear, renewable and fossil energies.
The statement was confirmed by Christian Ngo, former scientific director of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in a seminar on energy strategy in France, held in Pantheon-Sorbonne, Paris on May 12.
He said that the world is facing scarcity of energy due to increasing power demand in production and daily life, while fossil energy sources will soon be exhausted.
Ngo emphasized the importance of raising public awareness of using energy economically with strategies suitable for each country’s economic conditions.
At the seminar, French and Vietnamese openly discussed issues in the field of developing energy and the development of nuclear electricity.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Association of Science and Experts in France (AVSE).
