Vietnamese companies presented cooperation prospects and the business environment in the service sector in Vietnam to potential Japanese partners in an investment promotion workshop in Tokyo on September 1.
The event was organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) to invite investments in the service industry in Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Representatives of four Vietnamese enterprises, namely Vingroup, Golden Gate, Saigon SATRA and Takahiro Food – selected by JETRO for their achievements in the service, distribution and hospitality sectors - were amongst the participants.
They pledged their support to Japanese partners entering the Vietnamese market and offered their expertise on retail networks and business in various sectors.
The presentations were followed by a group discussion on cooperation opportunities.
The export of food and traditional dishes is at the centre of Japan’s economic growth strategy, and Vietnam is one of the Southeast Asian markets Japanese firms are focussing on due to similarities in culture and consumer taste.
