The contest attracted the participation of nearly 350 entries in the fields of health care, education, finance-banking, and agriculture and industrial production, with priority given to the digital transformation from Vietnam and around the world, an increase of 60 per cent from last year.
Addressing the event, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said Viet Solutions has developed into a global contest with many products from countries strong in IT and digital technologies such as the U.S., France, the Republic of Korea and India.

“We bring together technology to all corners of our lives, contributing to the development of the society,” he added.
Viettel’s acting Chairman and General Director Le Dang Dung said as a major technology corporation in Vietnam, with strengths in global markets, financial capacity and experienced human resources, Viettel is ready to work with other tech firms to come up with new ideas and bring them to daily life.
“Viettel is also ready to cooperate with ministries and localities in digital transformation, working towards building a digital government, citizenship and society,” said Mr. Dung.
At the event, the first prize, worth VND 200 million, was presented to Mismart for its solution in identifying plant health using drones. Meanwhile, the second (worth VND 100 million) and third prizes (worth VND 50 million) went to Map4D - a Vietnamese mapping solution, and CyRadar - a cloud-based web security solution.
Viettel will support the three winners to take part in a start-up contest in the U.S. and the Mobile World Congress 2021 in Barcelona. It will also work with the 22 product creators to provide their services in Vietnam and other 10 international markets.
