Nghe An armed forces clear the site for the 500kV Circuit-3 transmission line crossing Nam Dan district.

It was just after 6 a.m. when hundreds of troops and militiamen from military units and localities in Nghe An province were already present at the construction site of the 500kV Circuit-3 transmission line project's section crossing Nam Dan district to support the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) to complete remaining tasks.

Under the direction of Senior Colonel Tran Vo Viet, Second-in-Command of the Nghe An provincial Military Command, troops started their work immediately. Some used saws to cut down trees within the power grid and others transported equipment to the construction site. In spite of harsh weather conditions, all of them worked at high pace and raced against time with EVNNPT to complete the set goals.

Major Nguyen Viet Manh from the Nam Dan district Military Command shared that the unit defined supporting EVNNPT in speeding up the task completion in line with Prime Minister’s directions an important task and an honor of each soldier. Therefore, troops worked twice as hard to speed up the construction process.

As noon approached, the air became hotter. However, troops from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command did not lose their focus on working. In their sweat-soaked uniforms, troops worked together to transport equipment weighing hundreds of kilograms over hills more than 100 meters above sea level.

According to Pham Xuan Viet, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the 500kV Circuit-3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi power transmission line, the project in Nghe An province includes 202 pole foundations. In many areas with rough terrain, it is impossible to use construction machinery, so human power must be used instead. In order to energize the transmission line on the 79th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day (September 2) according to the Prime Minister’s direction, they have mobilized all human resources. Attentively, transporting tons of materials and equipment, pulling the power line to positions hundreds of meters high was extremely difficult. However, with the wholehearted support of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, they managed to address the difficulties that could affect the progress.

At the area of power pole No.304 on Thien Nhan range, Khe Sau mountain, near hamlet 12 in Khanh Son commune, Nam Dan district, although it was almost 11 a.m., troops and EVNNPT’s workers were still diligently pulling the power line over the mountain.

Major Tran Xuan Son from Vinh city's Military Command shared that troops and staff of the command marched to the area from 5 a.m. All of them showed great efforts and high determination to accomplish the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister.

According to Sr. Col. Tran Vo Viet, implementing the Prime Minister's order and the direction of the Military Region 4 Command on supporting the construction of the 500Kv Circuit-3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi transmission line, over the past days, Nghe An armed forces have mobilized more than 650 troops and militiamen for the construction of the line crossing Nghe An province. Apart from helping EVNNPT transport equipment to the construction site, clearing the line, restoring the environment, troops also popularized the Party and State’s guidelines among local people and encouraged them to relocate their houses and properties.
