Accordingly, the maximum retail price of E5 RON92 petrol has been set at 19,196 VND (0.76 USD) per liter, up 74 VND; and that of RON95-III petrol at no more than 19,565 VND per liter, a modest increase of 33 VND.

In contrast, the price of diesel 0.05S dropped sharply by 269 VND to a maximum of 17,136 VND per liter. The price of kerosene fell by 206 VND to 17,108 VND per liter, and that of mazut (180CST 3.5S) decreased by 248 VND to 16,264 VND per kilogram.

This marks the 22nd price adjustment since the beginning of the year. Of these, the price of RON95 petrol has risen 11 times and fallen 11 times. Diesel prices have increased 10 times, dropped 11 times, and remained unchanged once.

For this adjustment, the price stabilization fund was not used for petrol, diesel, kerosene or mazut.

Retail fuel businesses and distributors are required to implement the new prices no later than 3 p.m. on May 29.
