The event, in celebration of the 89th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnamese Farmers’ Association, was jointly held by the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Farmers’ Association, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Speaking at the event, Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization, congratulated 63 farmers on their achievements. Mai asked relevant agencies to create favorable conditions for farmers to have access to science and technology advances and to connect with the processing industry while also exporting their agricultural products to foreign markets.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Farmers’ Association was urged to renew their activities in protecting the legitimate rights and benefits of their members as well as being a bridge to connect the Party, State and farmers to strengthen the Party’s trust in farmers.
