The province agreed to organize the simultaneous launch of work on six large-scale transport and social housing projects, along with the technical opening of the Dong Nai riverside road project.

The projects scheduled to commence construction include Cat Lai Bridge and Long Hung Bridge (also known as Dong Nai Bridge No. 2), as well as Nha Bich Bridge on National Highway 14.

Meanwhile, three social housing projects will start construction: a project with about 1,800 apartments covering more than 2 ha in Phuoc An commune, another with nearly 1,500 apartments spanning over 3 ha in Phuoc An commune, and a combined social and commercial apartment project in the Long Hung residential area, Long Hung ward, with a scale of around 3,000 units.

Notably, Cat Lai and Long Hung bridges, respectively invested with nearly 20 trillion VND and 11 trillion VND in total, hold great importance to connecting Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, two neighboring localities boasting the most developed economies in the South.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Ho Van Ha stressed that the launch of work on these projects represents an important political event for the province. They demonstrate the strong commitment of the entire political system to developing a comprehensive and modern infrastructure network, enhancing inter-regional connectivity, and addressing social welfare needs.

He requested the provincial Department of Construction to coordinate closely with relevant agencies to ensure thorough preparations so that the groundbreaking ceremonies are conducted in a practical and cost-effective manner.
