Construction of Vietnam’s biggest solar power plant begins
PANO – The Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee, in association with the Trung Nam Solar Power JSC, started the construction of a solar power plant in Bac Phong and Loi Hai communes, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province.
The 204MW plant with 705,000 solar panels and 45 converting stations to be built on an area of 300 hectares will be connected to the province’s 220KV power grid.

The VND5-trillion project, which has so far been the biggest solar power plant in the country, is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
The project is expected to considerably increase the electricity supply for Ninh Thuan province and for other localities in the South-Central region.
