Aquiculture, forestry and agriculture exports totalled US$1.6 billion in five months, increasing Vietnam’s year-to-date turnover to US$7.2 billion.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the sharp increase above is due to a rise in the price of most goods in the first five months compared to the previous year.

Except coffee, which still faces difficulties, other goods, including rice, cashew nuts, tea, pepper, aquicultural and forestry products and wooden furniture, show good growth rates.

To maintain the growth rate of aquiculture, forestry and agricultural exports, the MARD has requested that businesses, associations and units innovate production lines and perfect mechanisms and policies and keep track of market information.
