Within the framework of the program, the joint working group provided free health checkups and medicines for 150 poor locals, policy beneficiaries and Vietnamese heroic mothers, and presented 40 Tet gifts to local families in a difficult state.

Members of the working group also held folk games and cultural exchanges with local people.

According to the organizers, the program “Border Spring – Tet on Islands” aimed not only to support needy locals, but also to raise young people’s awareness of and responsibility for protecting the Fatherland’s sacred seas and islands, national border and territorial sovereignty.

Via activities within the program, military units could cement the relationship with local people, contributing to building a firm border defense posture of people’s hearts.
