Viettel builds fiber-optic system for Ministry of Public Security
PANO - The Military-run Industry-Telecoms Group Viettel, the Vietnam Telecommunication Authority under the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Public Security have signed a contract to install a fiber-optic system under the project “Police service’s fiber-optic network, Phase II.”
Accordingly, the military company will complete the building of the largest fiber-optic network project for the Ministry of Public Security in 115 days.
Viettel will apply advanced technologies such as the Next Generation-Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (NG-SDH) and wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) for the project.
In Vietnam, the Viettel Consultant and Design JSC has vast experience in performing telecommunications projects by themselves without the support of international experts. Hence, it is eligible to receive and fulfill such difficult and high-level security projects.
Notably, Viettel is the sole contractor meeting the requirement of the project “Police service’s fiber-optic network, Phase II.”
The project aims to set up a fiber-optic network connecting the HQs of the Ministry of Public Security and its affiliated Police Departments in provinces and cities across the country to deliver without delay orders from the ministry to the grassroots level.
Over the past time, Viettel has undertaken a number of telecommunications projects with positive feedbacks from the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
