The alliance comprises the country’s leading technological firms such as the Military-run Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), information and communication technology giant FPT, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), CMC, MISA, Mobifone and BKAV.
In his remarks, Major General Le Dang Dung, acting Chairman and Director General of Viettel, held that the launch of the alliance was a result of great efforts and a high sense of responsibility by the body’s members as well as assistance from the leaders of the Government, including the Ministry of Information and Communications and State management agencies.
All of the alliance members target to speed up the progress of digital transformation in Vietnam to support the national socio-economic development, he affirmed.
The alliance’s specific goals include inspiring the society on digital transformation, actively implementing digital transformation and building up infrastructure and service foundations for Vietnamese businesses. Furthermore, as digital transformation continues the alliance aims to invite innovative companies to join.
The alliance members share the same voice and pledge to contribute to perfecting related institutions and a legal corridor for the nation’s digital transformation while also focusing on developing nationwide broadband network infrastructure (including 4G and 5G services), outspread fiber optical cable system, mobile virtual network and cloud computing network, Internet of Things (IoT) network connectivity and open platforms (Application Programming Interface – API and Open Platform.)
In addition, the alliance will pay due attention to the latest technologies like Big Data, Blockchain, AI, 5G, IoT and 3D printing. In addition, they will provide people with digital services such as digital payment, e-commerce, digital content and shared economy while also ensuring cyber-security.
