The fourteenth Banking Vietnam Conference and Exhibition (Banking Vietnam 2011) will take place in Hanoi on May 25-26, announced a press conference in the capital city on April 8.
The event is co-organised by the Information Technology Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (ITDB) and the International Data Group (IDG).
Featuring the theme “Optimizing technology infrastructure – diversifying banking services”, Banking Vietnam 2011 is expected to attract policy-makers, leading experts and enterprises from Vietnam and abroad who will share information and experience, work out solutions and seek business opportunities, with the aim of modernising Vietnam’s banking system.
The two-day event marks the 60th anniversary of the banking industry. Over the past years, this prestigious event has always been tied in with continual growth and progress of Vietnam’s banking system.
More than just banking technology forum, Banking Vietnam has made great contributions to Vietnam’s banking system modernization and been where the world-class banking technologies and services are converged.
The conference will touch upon many topics, such as Risk Management and Security, Non-cash payment, Mobile payment, New Models of Integrating Technology, Retail & Corporate Banking, Fraud Prevention & Detection, Anti-Money Laundering, Cloud Computing, Disaster Recovery, Storage Security System, ATM Securing & Protecting, Multi-channel Banking Services, Next generation of E-Payment, and Card Holder Management & Issuing Services.
It will also include panel discussions on risk management, competitiveness improvement, security in banking system and non-cash payment.
An exhibition will also be held on the occasion to showcase latest technologies and effective solutions for modernizing banking system.
The event will see the participation of the world’s leading businesses, banks and credit organisations inside and outside the country.
