The fair and exhibition was co-held by the Vietnamese Ministries of National Defense and Industry and Trade, and the Lao Ministries of National Defense and Industry and Trade.
The closing ceremony were attended by Senior Lieutenant General Thongloi Silivong, Lao Deputy Minister of National Defense and Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Lao People's Army; Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Training under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Head of the Fair and Exhibition Organizing Committee; representatives of agencies, units, enterprises and a large number of visitors from the two countries.

During the exhibition, the Saigon Newport Corporation under the Vietnam People’s Navy proved its attractiveness as the number one economic-defense enterprise in Vietnam in port operation and logistics service. The booth of the Saigon Newport Corporation was modern and outstanding with the highlight of digital transformation technologies in management and business activities.
Notably, apart from trade promotion activities, the Saigon Newport Corporation accelerated technology transfer cooperation, provide utility solutions and services, and so on. Within the framework of the fair and exhibition, the corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Lao International Truck and Forwarder Association (LITFA) and the Association of Vietnam Enterprises in Laos (AVILA).
According to Colonel Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Director of the Saigon Newport Corporation, the corporation realizes its great opportunity in developing logistics connection activities between the two countries and in the Northeastern region of Thailand through the East-West logistics corridors.
The Saigon Newport Corporation will strengthen cooperation with partners via organizing exchanges, seminars, and surveys to help enterprises of each side share information, understand the market, and seek cooperative opportunities, contributing to connecting Laos and Vietnam and the countries in the Mekong sub-region, as well as forming a transparent and convenient transportation network, he added.
