Vietnamese weightlifter breaks world record at Asian tourney
PANO – Vietnamese weightlifter Do Tu Tung won a gold hat-trick and at the same time broke a world record at the 2018 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Uzbekistan.

In the Youth men category 50kg, Tung ranked first after successfully lifting 92kg in the clean and jerk category, 128kg in the snatch, and 220kg in the total lift.
Moreover, the 2004-born athlete created a new world record by lifting 128kg in the snatch, which is 1kg more than the old record (set by Thai lifter Chomchuen Teerapat in the previous competition).
In the 44kg for women, another Vietnamese lifter Nguyen Thi Thu Trang took three bronzes.
