Vietnam Airlines prioritizes check-in procedures for Vietnamese athletes at Noi Bai International Airport on December 7.

It will arrange flights with suitable travel times to ensure the well-being of delegation members. Priority check-in counters and additional support staff will be deployed at Noi Bai, Da Nang, Tan Son Nhat, and Bangkok airports.

As the national flag carrier, accompanying the Vietnamese sports delegation at the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games is always a source of pride for Vietnam Airlines, said Deputy General Director Dang Anh Tuan.

Its partnership with the country's sports delegations dates back to before 2010 and was further strengthened by a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the 2024-2028 period, signed on December 18, 2023. Under this framework, the airline has supported national delegations at numerous international sporting events, including the SEA Games, the ASEAN Para Games, the Asian Games (ASIAD), the Olympics and the Paralympics in Paris, and most recently the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

Tuan emphasized that its support extends beyond transportation, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility and creating the best possible conditions for Vietnamese athletes as they pursue excellence on the international stage.

The 33rd SEA Games is scheduled to take place in Thailand from December 9 to 20, with around 1,000 Vietnamese athletes competing in 38 out of 54 sports. Meanwhile, around 200 Vietnamese athletes are expected to participate in the 13th ASEAN Para Games, to be held from January 20 to 26.
