The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism worked with other sectors, supported the organizing panel of the tournament to ensure facilities and boost dissemination about the tournament’s stage 2 through Van Ho district, Son La province and stage 3 from Son La city to Dien Bien Phu city (Dien Bien province). Meanwhile, the province also arranged a system of banners, slogans, and billboards to disseminate information about the race to local people, especially in areas where the athletes cross.
The race through Son La province is one of the most difficult routes; therefore, athletes have to overcome many dangerous passes. In order to create favorable conditions for cyclists and ensure safety, the province directed the public security divisions of the districts of Van Ho, Moc Chau, Yen Chau, Mai Son, and Thuan Chau, and Son La city to coordinate closely with functional units to inspect the route, install a system of warning signs, and assign forces to be on duty at the scene, especially dangerous sections, to support athletes whenever needed.
Regarding the contribution of the race to promoting the culture, land, and people of Son La province, Do The Cong affirmed that, with its potential in culture and tourism, the event would provide an opportunity to introduce the province's culture and image, thereby attracting tourists to Son La province. This is also an occasion for the participants to visit the provincial historical and cultural relic sites as well as experience the cultural identities of 12 ethnic minority groups in the region.
